So, today I had an interview with someone who is residing in a part of the world that is, for sure, a lot sunnier than dear ole’ Stockholm. The interview was at 16.30 (4.30 PM for you who don’t read 24h time) and whilst it is dark and rainy here, I could see that my chat counterpart had a sunny and lovely day where he was. I instantly longed for the sunny shores of southern Spain or somewhere similar and at the same time, I did realize I was actually a bit envious of not being where the days are bright and sunny. Sun envy. Envy is such a loaded word and also a word that expresses a very human part. The part being, we lust for what we don’t have. So very human to do just this. And according to many, so wrong to feel this particular thing. For me, it’s not wrong. It just tells me I am human and very capable of a wide range of emotions.
Envy is not a deadly sin
