Who I am, without the LinkedIn perfume
My name is Roine. Pronounced Roy-na.
I am a digital writer, translator, content strategist, and professional explainer of complicated things people love to overcomplicate.
I work at the intersection of tech, language, culture, and friction. Cybersecurity. AI. DEI. Platforms. Policy. Travel. Systems that quietly shape how people live online. I take those systems apart and turn them into language humans can actually process.
I do SEO, but I do not worship Google.
I use AI, but I do not confuse it with intelligence.
I write for people first, because people are the only thing algorithms are trying to imitate anyway.
Before content became my full-time crime, I worked restaurants, radio, retail, and service. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts and Sensorics, which means I was trained to understand perception, bias, and why taste is never neutral. I have published a book, worked live radio, mixed drinks, been selected to serve at the Nobel dinner party, done activism, and spent years dealing with humans at their best and worst.
This is not a quirky backstory.
It is why my bullshit detector works.
Roineland, since 2004
Roineland has been my independent playground, lab, and proving ground since 2004. It is where I write, translate, edit, experiment, and occasionally set fire to bad ideas before they reach the public.
Through Roineland, I work as:
Writer and strategist
Long-form articles, thought leadership, editorial content, landing pages, and SEO that do not insult the reader. I care about structure, intent, and what the text is actually doing to the person reading it.
Translator and localization specialist
Fluent in Swedish and English. I translate content so it feels native, not converted. I localize tone, references, and intent, not just words. I also work extensively with MTPE and quality assurance for AI-assisted translation, because machines are confident liars.
AI and prompt specialist
I do not “use AI.” I train it, constrain it, and tell it when to shut up. I build prompts, workflows, and internal rules so teams can work faster without turning their brand voice into beige soup.
Editor and content manager
I decide what goes live, when it goes live, and why it should exist at all. I edit ruthlessly for clarity, tone, coherence, and reader trust. Editing your own work for decades makes you either very good or very delusional. I chose good.
Community and social lead
I have launched and managed multiple social projects and large communities, including one of Sweden’s biggest groups in its segment. Moderation, tone policing, culture building, and knowing when to step in or step back are skills, not vibes.
