In the last three years or so, I’ve been on a mission to automate stuff at home and at the cottage. So far, most of the lighting and some of the heating (being able to turn the heating on before coming to the cottage, is the shit in the middle of the winter) are automated but I aim to automate most of this within the next couple of years. Believe it or not, I’m actually not using an Open-Source version, although I was thinking of using Mycroft for a while until I decided I really didn’t like his voice very much. Also, I have an unexplained dislike for Sherlock Holmes brother so I threw that idea out.
