I am a man of little less character when it comes to the good things in life. One of the best good things in life is chocolate. Almost all kinds of chocolate. Any time. Anywhere. Now excuse me, I need to go get some chocolate…..
There. So, where was I? Right, I am about to share my recipe for chocolate balls with you guys. Since I am Swedish, this will be in grams and deciliter, mainly.
You will need 100 grams of butter, 1,5 deciliters of white sugar, 2 deciliters of oat flakes, a pinch of salt, half a deciliter of strong coffee (I prefer espresso), one tablespoon of vanilla sugar or vanilla powder, three tablespoons of cocoa powder and some cocos flakes to roll these bad boys in.
Leave the butter at room temperature for a couple of hours so it will be easier to work with. When it’s soft and nice, put all the ingredients, except the cocos flakes in a bowl and mix them together with a fork or spoon. I prefer to use a fork but I won’t judge anyone for using a spoon. Promise! Mix them well. As long as you see the butters real color, you need to keep going.
When the mixing is done, put on a pair of rubber gloves and start rolling small balls of the mix. Roll the balls in cocos flakes and place them on a plate. Refrigerate for a couple of hours and then just enjoy them, all at once or keep them for a couple of days.
